1960 – Establishment of the Pedagogical Institute of 3 years from Brasov (the Order of the Minister of Education and Culture no. 3243 of 4 July 1960).
1967 – Establishment of the Brasov branch of the Central Institute for Improving Teacher Conduct - ICPPD.
1971 – Foundation of the University of Brasov by merging the Polytechnic Institute of Brasov and the Pedagogical Institute of Brasov (State Council Decree no. 348 of 10.12.1971).
1979 – The team of teachers from ICPPD Brasov Branch is transferred to the University of Brasov.
11993 – Establishment of the psychology and pedagogy team within the Faculty of Economics of Transylvania University of Brasov.
1994 – Establishment of the University Pedagogic Seminar of Transylvania University of Brasov (the Order of the Minister of Education no. 5398 of 02.11.1994).
1996 – Transformation of the University Pedagogic Seminar into the Teacher Training Department of Transylvania University of Brasov (the Order of the Minister of Education no. 4356 from 11.07.1996) and foundation of the Psychology and Pedagogy Department .
1997 – Foundation of the 3 year-study programme for Schoolteachers within CUFEI, managed by the Department of Psychology and Pedagogy.
1998 – Establishment of the Psychology and Pedagogy study programme, with a duration of 4 years, within the Faculty of Economics, managed by the Department of Psychology and Pedagogy.
1999 – Foundation of the open distance learning study programme for Schoolteachers, within CUFEI, managed by the Department of Psychology and Pedagogy, with a duration of 2 (3) years.
2002 – Establishment of Philology and Pedagogic University College, with Pre-school and Primary school teachers specializations, for both regular and distance education programmes.
2004 – Establishment of the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences.
2005 – Moving to the Bologna study system and conversion of the previous programmes into undergraduate 3 year-programmes: Psychology - accredited in 2007, Pedagogy - accredited in 2007, Preschool and Primary School Pedagogy - accredited in 2008.
2007 – Accreditation of the psycho-pedagogical study programme (the Teacher Training Module).
2008 – The accreditation of the undergraduate study programmes.
2008 – Accreditation of master's programmes: For the PSYCHOLOGY filed - Educational psychology and human resources in the organization, with two routes of professionalization: Educational psychology, school and vocational counselling and Work and organizational psychology, respectively Personality psychology. For the EDUCATION SCIENCES field - Human resources in education programme. Training and management, with two routes of professionalization: Training adults. Competences of the trainer of adults and Educational Management.
2009 – Reaccreditation of the master’s programmes in the PSYCHOLOGY field: Educational psychology, school and educational counselling, respectively Work and organizational psychology and human resources.
2010 – Establishment of the distance education undergraduate study programme in Psychology.
2011 – Authorization of the undergraduate study programme in Special Education.
2012 – Accreditation of the Educational psychology of preschool and primary school master's programme.
2014 – Accreditation of the Clinical psychology, psychological counselling and psychotherapy master's programme.
