ABOUT US	DEPARTAMENTS
The Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering is part of the Transilvania University of Brasov since 1990. All activities that occur inside its combine tradition of the Brasov technical school with the new directions that opens the domain, really dynamic, of human knowledge.	Materials Science and Engineering Faculty has two departments: the Department of Materials and Welding Engineering (MWE) and the Department of Technological Equipment and Materials Science (TEMS).

STUDY PROGRAMS	SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH
Materials Science and Engineering Faculty provides training in Industrial Engineering, Materials Engineering, Engineering and Management and Applied Engineering Sciences on all three levels: Licence, Masters, PhD.	Faculty members conduct their work in two research departments: Technology and Advanced Metal, Ceramic and Composite Materials MMC (D8) and Advanced Eco-welding Technologies (D12).

STUDENTS	ADMISSION
Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering can provide counter-cost student accommodation on “Colina” campus, the cafeteria table, and also national and international scholarships, access to specialized libraries, railway transport and discounts at local as well as international card getting Youth Travel Card (IYTC).	The Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering organizes an annual competition for admission to both undergraduate study or for the masters or doctoral studies.
