       The Faculty is involved in several international cooperation programmes and has signed bilateral agreements with universities, institutes and organisations from Europe and America.
       The following universities are our partners in the frame of Erasmus-Socrates Program:
  • Instituto Politecnico Coimbra, Escola Superior Agraria, Coimbra, Portugal;
  • Bodenkultur Universitat (BOKU), Viena, Austria;
  • ENGREF, Nancy, France;
  • Mikkeli Polytchnik, Pieksamaki, Finland;
  • SLU Umea, Sweden;
  • Université Agronomique, Gemblox, Belgium;
  • EUIT Forestal, Madrid, Spain;
  • Albert Ludwigs Universitat, Freiburg, Germany;
  • Universidad de Cordoba, Spain;
  • Faculty of Technology, Buckingamshire Chilterns Univerity College, U.K.;

 

       The Faculty staff is also involved in 3 COST Programmes:
  • E 40: Innovative utilisation and products of large dimensioned timber including the whole forest-wood-chain;
  • E 42: Growing Valuable Broadleaved Tree Species;
  • E 47: European Network for Forest Vegetation Management: Towards Environmental Sustainability.
       Bilateral cooperation agreements were recently signed with the forestry faculties from Sopron (Hungary) and Freiburg (Germany).

       The Faculty is a IUFRO member and its staff has been involved in several projects funded by European Forest Institute (EFI), Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO), European Commission, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, World Bank, US Agency for International Development (USAID), US Department for Agriculture (USDA). The Faculty is also an active member of the Carpathian Ecoregion Initiative.
