Culture

UNITBV is involved in the cultural life of Brașov by offering events of high cultural interest on an ongoing basis. The University’s main contributors are:

  • Multicultural Centre – a meeting place between the community and contemporary art, with a programme of events and projects designed to promote artistic expression and the expression of different cultures.
  • Music Centre – aims to promote musical culture and provide artistic education to both the academic community and the audience in Brașov.
  • Confucius Institute – is a non-profit organization that aims to teach Chinese and promote Chinese language learning, to provide understanding of the Chinese culture and civilization, and to intensify cultural, educational and scientific exchanges with contemporary China.
  • Norbert Detaeye Media Centre – owns a collection of vinyls, CDs, DVDs, videotapes, magazines and books. All these can be viewed or listened to in the Auditorium, which has a capacity of 60 seats.

UNITBV and the economic environment

Transilvania University of Brașov closely collaborates with the economic and socio-cultural environment. Proof thereof are the partnerships concluded with various companies, NGOs and public institutions. In order to remain in permanent and close contact with the representatives of the economic environment, the University has set up the Council of Partners, which meets biannually.

At the same time, UNITBV has a dedicated office for the relations with the economic environment, the role of which is to bridge the cooperation between students and employers.

While permanently trying to maintain the communication between students and companies, we have created the project Companies Podium - a dedicated space, where 21 companies frequently deliver presentations and present job offers for students.

UNITBV  has more than 200 partnerships with private companies, associations and other institutions in 2023.

With a view to supporting its students, UNITBV also has set up a Centre for Career Guidance and Counselling, as well as a Student Entrepreneurial Society.
