Traditional Chinese Medicine
The Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Master’s degree programme (in English) is conducted in partnership with the Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a reputed university in the field. The specific disciplines are taught by experienced professors, engaged in international programmes at this university. The prestige of TCM University in Beijing, one of our partners and collaborators, is acknowledged by ranking first in the hierarchy of TCM universities in China.
The Master’s degree programme broadly aims to provide knowledge derived from recent research in the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine, its main objectives being the application of the principles of evidence-based medicine to the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine, along with the acquisition of knowledge on the principles and methods of Traditional Chinese Medicine. This will also enable the students to test the therapeutic benefits of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
The programme primarily addresses graduates of medical studies and offers them informed motivation and solid grounds for potential involvement in specialized studies in the practice of acupuncture or other therapeutic methods of the TCM.
The study offers only full-time courses and extends over 2 years (4 semesters). The teaching activities are carried out in a modular system, with 2 or 3-week successive modules of intensive teaching covering a discipline, depending on the number of semester hours provided in the curriculum, and with the assessment immediately following the teaching.
