Welding Engineering
The field of study in which this study programme falls into is Industrial Engineering. The duration of the studies is 4 years (240 ECTS credits). Welding Engineering trains higher education specialists, through undergraduate and postgraduate university education, in the field of "Industrial Engineering", being in accordance with the provisions of the University Charta of Transylvania University of Brasov and in accordance with the provisions of the Europe 2020 Strategy. The graduates of the Welding Engineering specialization enjoy a special appreciation on the Romanian labour market due to the complex and high level training they demonstrate in their economic activity in different sectors such as metal structures manufacturing, nuclear technique, refinery and petrochemical equipment, naval constructions, cars, wagons and locomotives, airplanes, agricultural equipment, and consumer goods, etc. Many of the graduates of the Welding Engineering specialization are currently working in the USA, Canada, France, Germany, Belgium, Australia, Turkey, the Czech Republic, etc. Some of them soon became heads of departments and managers as a recognition of their competence and their important work (Air Ductil Buzau, Linde, ESAB, etc.).
