Educational Psychology, School and Vocational Counseling

The study programme is in the field of Psychology. The study period is of 2 years (120 ECTS credits). Graduates of bachelor’s programmes such as Psycho-Pedagogy, Pedagogy, Social assistance, Sociology etc. are accepted. The programme provides fundamental knowledge for comprehension of  students and groups of students, instruments for psychological evaluation and techniques and methods specific to school and vocational counselling, as well as designing and conducting individual and group counseling activities aimed at personal development and student adaptation, as well as optimizing the functioning of groups in the educational environment.

Study Disciplines:Advanced Theories in Developmental Psychology, Advanced Theories in Communication Psychology, Methods of Quantitative Research, Advanced Theories in Personality Psychology, Ethics and Academic Integrity, Entrepreneurship in psychological practice, Qualitative Research Methods, Psychological Evaluation, Psychological Counseling of the Child and Teenager, Adults Training Inclusive Education, Managing Emotions in Counseling, Socio-psychological Interventions in Crisis Situations in the Educational Environment, Vocational Counseling and Career Management, Applications of Learning Psychology in Education, Psychopathology of Children  and Adolescent, Counselling of Educational   Groups, Applied Research in the Field of Specialization; Professional Practice-Psychological Evaluation, Diagnosis and Psycho-educational Intervention in Children and Adolescents with Special Needs, Psychological Counseling of the Family, Personal and Professional Development Training, Applied Research in the Field of Specialization: Intervention, Practice for the Elaboration of the Dissertation. 

Prospects after graduation: graduates will be able to work in individual psychology offices, adult training centres, career counselling centres, corporate settings (in-house career development and counseling departments), workforce development agencies or departments of labor,  NGOs for assistance and protection of people with special educational needs, chronic and invalidating diseases, the national social assistance and child protection network, nurseries, kindergartens and schools.

COPSI certification: The master's programme is re-approved by the College of Psychologists in Romania (Professional authorization no. RF-I-BV-22 of 22.11.2011, re-approval no. 1of RF-I-BV-22 of 14.07.2021, annex of 02.11.2021).
