Clinical Psychology, Psychological Counselling and Psychotherapy
The study programme is in the field of Psychology. The study period is of 2 years (120 ECTS credits). Graduates of bachelor’s programmes such as Psycho-Pedagogy, Pedagogy, Social assistance, Sociology etc. are accepted. The programme provides fundamental knowledge for comprehension of normal and pathological behaviour, of life situations and difficulties clients face, instruments for psychological evaluation and techniques and methods specific to psychological counselling and psychotherapy, as well as developing decision capacity for selecting the personalised psychological intervention strategy that is adequate for each case.
Study Disciplines: Psychological evaluation, Psychological counselling, Personal and professional development, Ethics and deontology in applied psychology, Child and teenager psychopathology, Clinical Psycho-diagnosis, Couple and family psychotherapy, Emotion management in psychological counselling and psychotherapy, Prevention and intervention methods in crisis situations and addictions, Positive psychology, etc.
Prospects after graduation: graduates will be able to work in individual clinical psychology offices, psychiatric and neurological profile clinics, geriatrics, NGOs for assistance and protection of people with special educational needs, chronic and invalidating diseases, the national network for expertise and recovery of work capacity for invalidity cases, the national social assistance and child protection network, nurseries, kindergartens and schools.
COPSI certification: The master’s programme has been certified by the Psychologists College in Romania (Appendix no. 3/31.07.2015 to the professional certification no. RF-I-BV-22/22.11.2011).
