Motor Vehicles and Future Technologies
The master’s degree domain this study programme belongs to is Automotive Engineering. The duration of the studies is 2 years (120 ECTS credits). The main purpose of the master's degree programme entitled Motor vehicles and future technologies is to provide graduates the knowledge, skills and competencies necessary for a professional career in the automotive industry and in the research-design-development structures of the same domain. The master's programme Motor vehicles and future technologies offers specialization tracks in the field of motor vehicle propulsion and other vehicle system categories (including those for special purposes). The students acquire skills in modeling, simulation and constructive optimization of motor vehicle structures, equipment and systems: design and implementation of testing procedures for vehicle systems and equipment, testing of systems and components destined to the cars of the future; design of integrated systems meant to analyze the life span of vehicle systems, their impact on the environment when under the auspices of sustainable development, etc.
Studied disciplines: Numerical methods applied in engineering, New materials and technologies in automotive industry, Modeling and analysis with finite elements, Life cycle of vehicle systems, CAD - CAE - CAM for vehicles, System simulation in vehicle engineering, New solutions for internal combustion engines, Testing and validation procedures of vehicle systems, Thermal management and energy recovery in internal combustion engines, Active and passive safety systems, Fuels of the future, Auxiliary systems of internal combustion engines, Communal vehicles and tractors, Special vehicles, Vehicles with alternative propulsion systems, Simulation of traffic accidents, etc.
Prospects after graduation: the graduates can work as design engineers in the field of automotive engineering or as researcher engineers in the field of automotive engineering. They can also take up doctoral studies.
