Engineering and Management of Advanced Metallic, Ceramic and Composite Materials
Major field of study: Materials Engineering
The duration of this programme is 2 years (120 ECTS credit points)
Graduates gain competences such as:
- the use of modern concepts and theories in the field of advanced metallic, ceramic and composite materials;
- the use of modern analytical techniques adapted for the field of advanced materials and related fields;
- the use of basic concepts from the field of research management in materials engineering;
- the use of scientific research principles characteristic of the field and oral/written communication presenting the results obtained in a clear and convincing manner;
- advanced materials management and their correlation with alternative resources available in the context of sustainable development.
Graduation from this master’s degree programme allows students to take different positions in the field of materials engineering.
Main Subjects: Unconventional Technologies, Advanced methods of materials analysis and characterization, Rapid prototyping technologies and equipment, Technical English, Criteria in material selection, Expert software – CAD, CAM, CAE; Process modelling, simulation and optimization, Total Quality management, European programmes and strategies in the field of advanced materials, Tribological Surface characterization, etc.
