The International Conference THE SCIENCE OF MUSIC - EXCELLENCE IN PERFORMANCE is one of the most important events for the Faculty of Music within Transilvania University of Brașov, which enjoys ever-growing international visibility.

Now in its 15^th edition, the event brings together distinguished scholars from all over the world to present their latest advancements in fields such as musicology, music composition, stylistics of performance, ethnomusicology, music therapy or music education.

The event creates withal opportunities for the participants to exchange ideas and expertise in research, to establish relations of cooperation between their institutions, as well as future interdisciplinary collaborations or partnerships.

This year’s edition brings together exceptional professionals who will make public their breakthroughs, will hold masterclasses and workshops, but also will present their most recent book releases. 

On this occasion, the Faculty of Music is delighted to invite you to the symphony concert held on Saturday, 22 November, starting at 6:30 p.m., in “Sergiu T. Chiriacescu” Conference Centre of Transilvania University of Brașov. The concert is offered by “Simfonieta Academică” orchestra, under the baton of Traian Ichim, PhD, associate professor within our faculty, enjoys the presence of the prestigious guests Gonçalo Pescada, PhD, (accordion), professor at Universidade de Évora, Escola de Artes, Portugal, and Anastasia Gusarova, PhD, (flute), professor at the Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts of Chișinău. The programme features music pieces signed by Astor Piazzola and Béla Bartók.
