The National Conference of the Romanian Library Association
1-4 September 2026, “Sergiu T. Chiriacescu” Conference Centre, Transilvania University of Brașov
Transilvania University Library, together with “George Barițiu” County Library, the local Teacher Training Centre, as well as their partners, organise the 36thNational Conference of the Romanian Librarian Association, under the title “The Global Library – Open Access, a Collaborative Space, and an Intellectual and Emotional Refuge”.
The event will bring together experts in the field of library and information sciences, within a framework of professional debate focused on the role of contemporary library in facilitating access to knowledge, fostering collaboration and strengthening culture, through intellectual and community support initiatives.
The official opening will take place on 2 September 2026, at 9:00 a.m.; and, on 1 September 2026, the event will be preceded by a meeting under the aegis of Softlink Central Europe.
