PA-MERAS 2024-2025
PRIZE OF THE YEAR. ERASMUS+ MOBILITY – Awards Ceremony
The 9th edition of “PRIZE OF THE YEAR. ERASMUS+ MOBILITY” (PA-MERAS) competition took place between 1 October and 18 November 2025. This competition aims at promoting the Erasmus+ mobility programme among the students, and at improving their professional achievements during the relevant stages.
The awarding ceremony took place in Studio 181 room, Rectorate building, Transilvania University of Brașov, on 27 November 2025. In a festive setting, the twenty participants in the PA-MERAS competition who benefitted from Erasmus+ mobilities during the 2024 - 2025 academic year were rewarded.
Their stories will definitely be useful to all students in their early Erasmus journey. These experiences not only enrich the participants’ academic lives, but also open up new cultural horizons, which boost the development of core skills internationally sought on the global labour market.
The candidates for the best-performing Erasmus+ mobility came from nine of UNITBV’s 18 faculties, and represented both engineering and humanities fields.
The presence of the PA-MERAS competitors and Erasmus+ faculty coordinators, as well as of the future Erasmus+ students turned the 27 November 2025 meeting into a warm and friendly environment for the acknowledgement of the participants’ achievements. Reliving the joy of those days, they enthusiastically presented the impressions of mobility in front of their colleagues.
This year’s winner is Ștefania PETCU, a student at the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Business Administration, beneficiary of a study mobility at PAR University, Croatia.
Her essay highlighted the significant impact of this experience, both academically and in terms of personal development, and proved her remarkable adaptation to a different educational system and a completely new culture. This story will remain as a model of success for everyone preparing to attend the Erasmus+ mobilities.
The PA-MERAS competition is a major opportunity for all students willing to share their mobility stories and promote the programme; and each participant proved how the Erasmus+ mobility can positively impact academic progress and vision of the world.
