The graduates of this programme acquire competences in CAD, CAM, CAE, virtual prototyping, software development for motor vehicles, design and testing of internal-combustion engines, automotive dynamics, fluid dynamics, automotive safety, automotive diagnosis, reconstruction of traffic accidents, road telematics, hybrid and electric vehicles. After the completion of the studies, the graduates will be able to work as engineers in various activity sectors in the field of motor vehicles, such as computer-assisted design; manufacturing and exploitation; maintenance and repairs; consultancy; damage assessment, insurance; expertise of traffic accidents; specialist within ISCTR/ARR/RAR/Road police etc.

The B.A. field which this study programme falls within is Mechanical Engineering. The duration of the studies is 4 years (240 ECTS credits). The students acquire specific competences related to cutting-edge procedures and means of computer-assisted design, based on the latest theories and methods related to the modelling and behaviour of mechanical materials and structures deformable at static and dynamic stresses, structures made of metallic, non-metallic, wood, composite materials and so forth. The study programme has a multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary formative basis.

The B.A. field which this study programme falls within is Industrial Engineering. The duration of the studies is 4 years (240 ECTS credits). The students acquire integrated competences in designing and promoting innovative and competitive products; they use specialized software and consider the rules of aesthetics and ergonomics, concurrently with the knowledge which makes them capable of rapidly integrating the latest technological advances in terms of the rational use of economy of raw materials and energy. The study programme has EUR-ACE certification, which ensures the European recognition of the engineer’s diploma.

The B.A. field which this study programme falls within is Mechanical Engineering. The duration of the studies is 4 years (240 ECTS credits). The students acquire diversified knowledge and competences in the design and integrated development of high-tech products for sustainable development, by considering the entire lifecycle of a product, in an integrated approach, oriented towards using clean energies, environmentally friendly products with a high capitalization rate at the end of their lifetime.

The Bachelor’s Degree field of study including this programme is Electrical Engineering. The study period is 4 years (240 ECTS credits). Students acquire abilities in designing and modelling electrical circuits and power electronics, using computer networks, developing applications for automation and industrial control. Completing this programme enables graduates to approach numerous professions in the field of engineering by combining electrical engineering and computer science.

Graduates of this programme hold a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Economic sciences. Undergraduates earn their degree in three years (180 ECTS). The internship amounts to 84 hours at multinational companies or at micro, small and medium-sized Romanian enterprises. As an undergraduate, you benefit from one-on-one academic tutoring and career advising which open the way for the optimum post-graduation job.

The bachelor programme falls within the ambit of the Cultural Studies domain. The study period is 3 years (180 ECTS credits). The teaching curriculum of this English programme is designed along the lines of professional and scientific training, developing creative and critical thinking, enhancing communicative and interactional skills.

The B.A. field which this study programme falls within is Forest Engineering. The duration of the studies is 4 years (240 ECTS credits). The students acquire, in addition to general competences in the field of wood science and engineering, specific competences in the technological design of both art and modern furniture, as well as of other finished wooden products (doors, windows, musical instruments, toys, packaging, sports items and so forth.). Other competences target technical and technological knowledge in the field of timber and wood-based composites, as well as in the field of furniture preservation-restoration. Organizing and managing the manufacturing processes in the industry of furniture and finished wooden products complements the future engineer’s specialized training.

The B.A. field which this study programme falls within is Informatics. The duration of the studies is 3 years (180 ECTS credits). The students acquire competences in the organization, design, exploitation of information in all formats, resorting to various programming languages and programming environments; software analysis, design, implementation, web design in the field of industry, economics and services; development of the communication skills in a foreign language (German, English) and of the interdisciplinary-collaboration skills, specific to system achievement/ use on the Internet/ Intranet.

The M.A. field which this study programme falls within is Automotive Engineering, being taught in English. The duration of the studies is 2 years (120 ECTS credits). The virtual M.A. programme Engineering in Automotive Design has two optional study tracks in the 2nd year, Virtual Engineering in Automotive Mechanical Design and respectively Virtual Engineering in Electrical and Hybrid Automotive Design. The latter study track is especially dedicated to forming competences and skills for excellence research. The M.A. programme offers theoretical, applicative and practical training in the field of Engineering of Automotive Design, based on virtual-reality technologies, by developing applications upon the identification, structure, conception, design, manufacture and experimentation of issues related to conception, operation, construction and technology.

Cybersecurity attacks are increasing in frequency and complexity, and demand for qualified security engineers is increasing, as well as the number of open cybersecurity jobs.


The master program “CyberSecurity” is part of the fundamental domain of Engineering Sciences, the master studies in the domain of Electronics, Telecommunications and Informational Technologies (ETTI), in the science area of Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunications. The teaching language is English. The program is dedicated mainly for students graduating from a bachelor's degree program in the fields of Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Computers and Information Technology, Applied Automatics, Informatics, but can also be followed by graduates of related study programs.


The master program will ensure the development of skills and competences for a professional / research career in designing and implementing cyber security solutions at the organizational, local, national and regional level. The training of cyber security specialists will be based on the presentation of cyber security concepts, information security methods and organizational vulnerabilities assessment and the acquisition of practical skills in determining the threats, risks and security breaches, implementation of robust security infrastructures with software and hardware methodologies, protection of critical infrastructures and the rapid and efficient management of security incidents. We are the first university in the country to offer a master program called Cyber ​​Security with content that responds to the demands of today's highly computerized modern society.

Students approach web applications development (software) both in terms of software and in terms of infrastructure (hardware and Internet communication). Upon graduating from this programme students may work in the field of IT and take different jobs based on Internet communication.

Using English as a working language, this research-oriented master’s programme extends over a two-year period (4 semesters, 120 ECTS). The curriculum is broad in scope and includes a series of subjects which approach intercultural and interdisciplinary communication from a wider, macrolinguistic perspective. What are the variables of intercultural communication? How can they be investigated systematically? What does the negotiation of meaning and message between different ethnic communities entail? These as well as others are issues that Language Studies for Intercultural Communication addresses. Within this programme, both teaching and learning are based on heuristic and participatory methods aimed at involving the students in individual and team-based projects, creating opportunities to integrate theory with practice. The programme is designed to enable students to cope with cultural diversity and decode it in the spirit of cultural and linguistic relativism, in order to maximize the effectiveness of communication in different cultural and professional contexts.

Curriculum: the core curriculum includes courses in research projects management, quantitative and qualitative methods in research, the construction of meaning in talk-in-interaction, written and spoken communication in professional settings, bilingual lexicography, translation, the theory and practice of subtitling, etc.

This Master’s programme of academic studies in the field of Forestry is the first in Romania taught in English, and offers students the opportunity to interact with and learn from nationally and internationally renowned specialists. The Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) Master’s degree programme (in English) is conducted in partnership with the Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a reputed university in the field. The specific disciplines are taught by experienced professors, engaged in international programmes at this university. The prestige of TCM University in Beijing, one of our partners and collaborators, is acknowledged by ranking first in the hierarchy of TCM universities in China.

The Master’s degree programme broadly aims to provide knowledge derived from recent research in the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine, its main objectives being the application of the principles of evidence-based medicine to the field of Traditional Chinese Medicine, along with the acquisition of knowledge on the principles and methods of Traditional Chinese Medicine. This will also enable the students to test the therapeutic benefits of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

The programme primarily addresses graduates of medical studies and offers them informed motivation and solid grounds for potential involvement in specialized studies in the practice of acupuncture or other therapeutic methods of the TCM.

The study offers only full-time courses and extends over 2 years (4 semesters). The teaching activities are carried out in a modular system, with 2 or 3-week successive modules of intensive teaching covering a discipline, depending on the number of semester hours provided in the curriculum, and with the assessment immediately following the teaching.

The M.A. field which this study programme falls within is Informatics. The duration of the studies is 2 years (120 ECTS credits). The students acquire theoretical, applicative and practical knowledge in applied informatics, based on the latest technologies; advanced theoretical knowledge and skills for the development of cutting-edge applications using Internet technologies; theoretical, applicative and practical knowledge as regards the specification, design and development of software systems, the operation, administration and security of computing systems, of communication networks, of distributed database management systems, of clusters especially for the mobile phone in e-business; development of communication skills in a foreign language (German and English) and of interdisciplinary collaboration skills specific to the manufacture/use of software systems in Internet/Intranet, especially for the mobile phone. The M.A. study programme MITB awards a double diploma to the graduates who will study 2 semesters at TU Ilmenau University in Germany and 2 semesters at Transilvania University of Braşov. The student will avail him/herself of the M.A. diploma from the university where (s)he completes his/her M.A. studies. Travels to the partner university will be made through DAAD and/or EU Erasmus+ programme.

The M.A. field which this study programme falls within is Philology. The duration of the studies is 2 years (120 ECTS credits).

The curriculum of this M.A. programme has been designed in line with the general orientation of the national higher education, it capitalizes on the Faculty of Letters specialists’ expertise and it brings forward the cultural, literary and linguistic specificity of the Transylvanian region. The course and seminar activities have an interactive nature and they focus on forming intercultural competencies compliant with the requirements of the globalized world, on giving impetus to research and teamwork capacities, as well as to individual originality and creativity. The seminar and specialized practical activities aim at developing research skills from an intercultural and interdisciplinary perspective.

This master programme falls within the ambit of the Philology domain. The study period is 2 years (120 ECTS credits) and the class curriculum is designed with a view to the overall direction followed by the academic learning in Romania and to the students’ need to further perfect their knowledge of French acquired during the bachelor training. The course and seminar activities focus on expanding the necessary skills required in the translator’s activity. As it is a professional study programme, the course and seminar activities are predominantly practical, aiming to directly train students for a future translator’s career.
