Transilvania University of Brașov ranks 465^th out of a total of 958 universities in 42 countries all over Europe. Last year, UNITBV ranked 494^th. 

Due to this position, UNITBV comes in sixth among the Romanian universities included in this ranking. For the 2026 edition, 12 indicators were considered in the hierarchization. Among these, the one referring to the international research network placed Transilvania University of Brașov on the 292^nd position. With a view to establishing the ranking, research and discovery, employability and outcomes, learning experience, international openness and sustainability were took into account. 

Within this prestigious top, UNITBV is continually on the rise: in 2024 our university lay in the 521-530 range, last year it held the 494^th position, and this year it has moved up in 465^th place. 

On the whole, QS World University Rankings: Europe 2026 features 21 Romanian universities. The international top is led by University of Oxford, ETH Zürich and Imperial College London.
