Admission 2021

6250 available places

For the admission 2021, Transilvania University of Brașov puts up for competition 2900 budgeted places, 50 more than last year. The places for a fee – over 3300 such places – add thereto.

Therefore, overall, for the academic year 2021-2022, Transilvania University of Brașov will have 6250 available places.

Most places are available at the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Business Administration (625), at the Faculty of Letters (520) and at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (515). The Faculty of Medicine, in its turn, was allocated over 350 places, out of which about 150 budgeted places.

Just as in 2020, this year the admission will take place online, only on the basis of a file, according to the criteria established by each faculty. Exceptions are the Faculties of Medicine, Music, Physical Education and Mountain Sports, and Psychology and Education Sciences. At these four, admission tests will be organized, with physical presence.

The candidates will register online, on the website: admitere.unitbv.ro, until 17 July.

At the Faculty of Medicine, the written tests will take place on 22 and 23 July, and at the Faculty of Music and the Faculty of Physical Education and Mountain Sports, the eliminatory tests will take place between 19 and 21 July. That is also when the eliminatory tests will take place for “Pedagogy of Primary and Preschool Education” and “Special Psychopedagogy”, within the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences.

For the master’s degree, the number of budgeted places for the academic year 2021-2022 is higher compared to last year. This year, 1380 budgeted places will be open for competition, 30 more than the previous academic year. Overall, for the master’s degree, over 3000 places will be available at Transilvania University of Brașov.

For this year's admission, both tuition and admission fees remain unchanged from the last year. Thus, the admission fee is 250 lei at the Faculty of Medicine, respectively 200 lei at the other faculties, and the tuition fees are between 3500 and 6000 lei, depending on the chosen profile.

Equally, for this year’s admission, at Transilvania University of Brașov there will be available places for distance learning or part-time education, but also places for the disadvantaged categories, for the Romanians everywhere or for the international students from outside the European Union.

Furthermore, Transilvania University of Brașov continues to support high-performing students. Candidates admitted to bachelor’s degree programs who graduated from high school as valedictorians or who were members of the Olympic teams and participated in international competitions, or who obtained an average grade of 10 in the Baccalaureate exam will receive a laptop. At the same time, they will benefit from accommodation in the university’s dormitories (if applicable) and one meal a day at the canteen, all free of charge, throughout the academic year.
