Bogdan Marian Coltan, student at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, won the silver medal at Euroinvent 2021 competition, organized in Iași. This year’s edition took place online, so the participants presented their projects and inventions on a poster and with a speech delivered from a distance. 

Bogdan Coltan is a student at the master’s study programme Simulation and Testing in Mechanical Engineering, and he succeeded in convincing the jury with his work “Lightweight disassemblable utility trailer made of 3D-printed parts”. The paper describes the product invented by Bogdan. This innovative product started from the need to transport various heavy objects, without having to resort to a truck or a large car for which it is difficult to find a parking space. Thus, this trailer, in addition to being light, can be disassembled and stored in small spaces, but can also transport various goods.

The European exhibition of creativity and innovation, Euroinvent 2021, brought together 39 works, both from Romanian universities and from other research institutions or private companies.
