Accordion Concert – Radu Rățoi

The Music Centre within Transilvania University of Brașov invites you to participate in a unique concert, which will feature the famous accordionist, Radu Rățoi.

An already established name on the world stage, the accordionist Radu Rățoi, born in Chișinău, has performed as a soloist with prestigious orchestras all over the world, such as Postdam Chamber Orchestra, RDAM Symphony Orchestra, National Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Moldova, Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, Marche Symphony Orchestra, and more. He has performed on the stages of some of the most important concert halls, such as Berlin Philharmonic (Germany), White Hall (Saint Petersburg, Russia), University of Victoria-Big Hall (Canada), RDAM Concert Hall (Copenhagen, Denmark), Beijing Concert Hall (China), ESMUC Concert Hall (Spain), CNESIN Concert Hall (Moscow, Russia), and many others. He has received numerous awards and distinctions since the age of just 9 years, being considered a genius in the world of music; among these awards, we find worth mentioning the high distinction “The Arts Master Award”, offered by the President of the Republic of Moldova. Since 2024, he has been a soloist within the National Chamber Orchestra of the Republic of Moldova. Moreover, he has a rich academic activity, holding numerous masterclasses, both in the Republic of Moldova and abroad.
The programme will feature a stylistic fusion of music pieces created for both piano and accordion by the composers J. P. Rameau, J. S. Bach, F. Schubert, P. Norgard, F. Liszt, D. Kosoric.

The event will take place on 28 May, at 6:00 p.m., in “Sergiu T. Chiriacescu” Conference Centre of Transilvania University of Brașov. The entrance is free, within the limit of available seats. The concert will be available to watch live on the page of Transilvania University of Brașov, www.unitbv.ro, and on the Facebook page of the Music Centre,  https://centrulmuzical.unitbv.ro/
