Admission 2025

Over 7000 bachelor’s and 3200 master’s study places

The educational offer of Transilvania University of Brașov remains diversified and adapted to the current demands of the labour market for the next academic year as well, while maintaining the balance between tradition and adaptation to the new demands of the labour market.

As regards the bachelor’s education cycle, Transilvania University of Brașov makes available a comparable number of places to the previous year’s one, respectively over 7,000, of which 3,000 are state-budgeted. Of the total number of self-financed places, 885 are for the distance-learning and 450 for the part-time forms of education.

This year as well, Transilvania University of Brașov encourages performance and supports equal opportunities in the access to education. The candidates who have won prizes at international school olympiads, or the first prize at national olympiads are admitted without competition, according to a detailed list, available on the university’s website.

Moreover, the high-school graduates who completed their studies as valedictorians, who achieve the average grade of 10 at the baccalaureate exam, as well as the members of Romania’s Olympic teams who participated in international competitions will receive from the University a laptop, as well as, if applicable, free dormitory accommodation and a daily canteen meal, throughout the academic year (except for the holidays).

The University continues, in 2025 as well, its policy of inclusion, by allocating special places for the candidates with disabilities, of Roma ethnicity, from rural high schools, but also for the Romanians everywhere.

The registration for the admission is done exclusively online for most of the faculties, through the dedicated platform HERE where the candidates will fill out a form with their personal data and upload the necessary documents. Four faculties require written and/or practical tests. Thus, at the Faculty of Medicine, for the Medicine study programme, the admission includes a grid-type written exam. For the the Faculties of Music, Physical Education and Mountain Sports, as well as Psychology and Education Sciences, the candidates will take practical and skills tests.

As regards the number of places in the master’s study programmes, this year as well, Transilvania University of Brașov puts up for competition over 3,200 places, of which 1,340 are state-budgeted.

This year, a noteworthy novelty is the expansion of the master’s degree educational offer, through the introduction of several new programmes, designed in accordance with the current labour market trends. Thus, the programmes Engineering and Management in Aviation, at the Faculty of Technological Engineering and Industrial Management, Engineering and Management in Luxury Hospitality, at the Faculty of Food and Tourism, and Law and Diplomacy of Sustainable Development, at the Faculty of Law, all of them taught in English, have been introduced for the next academic year. They will provide the future graduates with additional opportunities for specialization and professional integration.

The detailed admission calendar, the methodology, as well as information about new programmes can be found on the university’s admissions website: https://admitere.unitbv.ro.
