Transilvania University of Brașov invites you to the launch of the project European Alliance on Interdisciplinary Learning and Business Innovation for Urban Forests (UForest), which will take place on Friday, 31 March, from 9:00 a.m., at the Research and Development Institute within Transilvania University of Brasov. 

The event will feature presentations of the project given by the Rector of the University, Prof. dr. Eng. Ioan Vasile Abrudan, as well as by other specialists in the field of Forestry. 

Then, planting works of some forest species will be carried out in the yard of the Institute by the students of the Faculty of Silviculture and Forest Engineering, as well as by pupils of several schools in Brasov, with the support of the Local Public Directorate of Forests - Kronstadt RA.

The UForest project is funded by the European Commission, under the Erasmus+ Programme (Knowledge Alliance), and includes an intersectoral alliance that brings together several European universities, businesses and public administrations. Within the Alliance, the institutions involved develop urban planning and architecture actions, as well as forestry-related, urban ecology-related and socio-economic activities The Alliance underpins the development and support of both students and practitioners engaged in innovative projects of urban forestry.
