Record of applications for Transilvania University of Brasov

This year’s admission brought again to Transilvania University of Brasov a record number of candidates to all study programmes – both bachelor’s and master’s degree: almost 16,000. Of these, 12,151 applied for the full-time undergraduate programmes, that is, over 100 more files than last year.
The biggest competition is at the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences, for the Psychology study programme, where there are 38 candidates for a tuition-free place.
There will also be emotions at the Faculty of Medicine, where over 1,200 candidates will take the entrance examination on 20 July and will compete for one of the 117 places available at the Medicine study programme. 64 budgeted places were allocated, which means that at this year’s admission 20 candidates will compete for a tuition-free place.
The Faculty of Economic Sciences and Business Administration is also in great demand; since here, at this year’s admission, almost 1,800 files were validated for the bachelor's degree. As regards the Faculties of Mathematics and Computer Science, and Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, the number of candidates also exceeds 1,000.
By contrast, the fewest candidates applied for Music, that is, 62; however, here, the total number of places available for the bachelor’s degree is also lower – 71. For the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering, 86 candidates applied; and at the Faculty of Wood Design and Engineering, the only faculty of its kind in the country, 93 files were validated.
In total, for this year’ admission, over 10,000 places for both bachelor’s and master’s degree were put up for competition at Transilvania University of Brasov. Of these, over 7,000 places were allocated to undergraduate study programmes.
This year as well, the application for faculty took place exclusively online. At the Faculty of Medicine, the exams will take place on 20 and 21 July, depending on the chosen specialization. At the Faculty of Physical Education and Mountain Sports, at the Faculty of Music, and at the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences, the practical tests will take place between 17 and 19 July.
The results for all faculties will be displayed on 20 July. The exception is the Faculty of Medicine, where the results will be displayed on 21 and 22 July.
