Record of registrations at UNITBV in the July 2024 session

This year’s admission brought, once again, to Transilvania University of Brașov, a record number of candidates for the bachelor’s and master’s study programmes: 17,646 candidates.

This way, 13,255 candidates expressed their option for the 6,097 places put up for competition in the full-time bachelor’s degree cycle, with 1,184 more than last year, even considering that 2023 was itself a record year in terms of the number of candidates who opted for Transilvania University, which thus confirms the growing attractiveness of UNITBV’s educational offer. 

Moreover, 2,203 candidates competed for the 1,335 places put up for competition in the part-time study programmes, respectively distance learning.

This year as well, the greatest competition was at the Faculty of Medicine, with 11.34 candidates/place registered for the 125 places put up for competition. At the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences, for the Psychology study programme, 842 candidates competed for the 100 places put up for competition, whereas for the Computer Science programme (Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science) more than 5 candidates competed for one place.

In great demand, also with more than 1,000 registered candidates, were the Faculties of Economic Sciences and Business Administration, Mathematics and Computer Science, Law, Sociology and Communication.

Conversely, fewer candidates registered for the Faculty of Music - 91, where the total number of places available for the bachelor's degree was also lower - 75. At the Faculty of Materials Science and Engineering, 87 candidates registered in the competition; and at the Faculty of Furniture Design and Wood Engineering, the only specialized faculty in the country, 85 files were validated.

2,140 candidates opted for the full-time master’s programmes, with 14% more than the previous year (for the master's programmes at the Faculty of Medicine, the entrance exam will be held in September).
