COST Action CA22155 - Network for forest by-products: charcoal, resin, tar, potash (EU-PoTaRCh) - Conference

The Faculty of Furniture Design and Wood Engineering will host, between 17 and 19 February 2026, in “Sergiu T. Chiriacescu” Conference Centre, the third conference of the action COST CA22155 - Network for Forest By-products: Charcoal, Resin, Tar, Potash (EU-PoTaRCh).
EU-PoTaRCh has created a network for the past, present and future use of the main non-timber forest products and raw materials throughout Europe and beyond. The academic vision is to highlight the relevance of these products all along history, especially their role in industrialization. The goal is to identify and assess the changes in manufacturing, as well as their social and environmental impact on sustainable development.
The action aims at supporting the stakeholders who know these products and are interested in them, as they use them in manufacturing, education and heritage promotion. This event will be attended by specialists from universities, museums, forest funds, associations, and more.
