KineDok in its 11th edition

Every Tuesday in March, at 6:00 p.m., Multicultural Centre, Transilvania University of Brașov

This spring, KineDok, the European programme that promotes creative documentary films in alternative venues, returns to the city of Brașov for the 11thconsecutive year. The international programme for alternative distribution of documentaries will take place in Transilvania University’s Multicultural Centre (UNITBV Rectorate building, ground floor, 29 Eroilor Blvd.) on every Tuesday evening, in the month of March, starting at 6:00 p.m. As every year, the organizers have prepared a selection of movies that do not play in traditional cinemas, while also providing the audience with the opportunity to participate in the lively debates after the screenings, alongside the guests, specialists in various fields.

The entrance is free, and all movies are subtitled in Romanian.

The series of screenings in the city of Brașov will start on Tuesday, 17 March 2026, with the movie Alice On & Off, directed by Isabela Tent, which is one of the most appreciated and awarded Romanian documentaries of the year 2025.

The film is not recommended for people under 18 years of age, because it approaches topics with a strong emotional impact. The screening will be followed by a discussion with Ioana Constantinescu, trainer and lecturer for Alternative Step Association, as well as clinical psychologist, psychotherapist and senior social worker, a discussion to be moderated by several students at the Faculty of Letters.

KineDok is a unique programme for Europe, simultaneously run in five countries: Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia and Romania. In Romania, the programme is coordinated by One World Romania Association, in partnership with One World Romania Documentary Film & Human Rights Festival.

In Brașov, KineDok is organised by Artburg Association, along with Transilvania University’s Multicultural Centre.

Powered by: The MEDIA strand of the Creative Europe programme, and the Romanian Film Centre.
