European citizenship-themed bachelor’s theses and master’s dissertations, academically rewarded

The UNITA Alliance launches a competition aimed at rewarding the graduation papers for the bachelor’s and master’s educational cycles which enhance the understanding of European identity, values and citizenship.
The purpose of this initiative is to foster research on European topics and to explore the relations between overall Europe and the regions where the Alliance’s member universities are located.
The competition is open to the graduates who defended their thesis or dissertation in one of the last three academic cycles (2023–2024, 2024–2025 or 2025–2026).
The graduation papers entered into the competition must come under the fields of Law, Social and Communication Sciences, Economics, Management and Business Administration, or Political Sciences.
The awarded prizes amount to four.
Bachelor’s studies (First category): 200 € + Diploma
Master’s studies (Second category): 400 € + Diploma
Application terms
The candidates must submit the full paper and an abstract, both of them in PDF format. The abstract will foreground how the thesis/dissertation aligns with the competition objectives, with a special emphasis on its relevance to European citizenship, identity and values.
The papers may be written in English or in the official language of the university of origin where the thesis was defended.
