BlueStreamline, our university’s car-racing team, marks the start of the new competitive season with the launch of its BS26 CV (combustion) and BS26 EV (electric) single-seaters. The event will take place in front of the C building of Transilvania University of Brașov on Saturday, 11 July 2026, starting at 5:00 p.m. 

This year, on the occasion of the team’s 18-year celebration, after a 2025 season ended with them coming out on top in the Combustion class of the Formula Student competition, the event Joyride 2026 marks the start of the Formula Student competitive season with the launch of the 17^th combustion-engine single-seater, with which they will attend five international competitions, and of the second electric-motor one, with which they will attend two international competitions:
- Formula Student Balkans, T&T Karting Transilvania 12-17 July 2026 (CV, EV, Classic)
- Formula Student Czech Republic, Most race track 19-24 July 2026 (CV)
- Formula Student Spain, Circuit de Catalunya, Barcelona 1-7 August 2026 (CV, EV, Classic)
- Formula Student Croatia, Rimac Test Track, Micevec 18-23 August 2026 (CV, Classic)
- Formula Student Italy, Riccardo Paletti race track 2-6 September 2026 (CV)

Furthermore, true to itself, the team will participate in three of the competitions with a single-seater of the Classic category as well, which has a special significance. BS11 is a milestone in the team’s history, as it is the first BlueStreamline single-seater to have successfully ended the endurance event, thus taking the international podium at Formula Student Spain 2011, as well as the Best Teamwork FSS 2011 prize, awarded by Seat. 

The event will be honoured with the presence of our University’s Management representatives, of economic and industrial partners, of academic teaching personnel and students alike, as well as of students, parents, friends, admirers and supporters. It is open to enthusiasts and leisure seekers alike.

The BlueStreamline team will warmly welcome everyone to join them in this early-season event. In its 18^th year of successful activity, the team is delighted to show the public the three single-seaters with which its members will represent Transilvania University of Brașov, our city and our country in this Formula Student season.
