The Music Centre of Transilvania University of Brașov is delighted to invite you to the official opening of the 2026-2027 Concert Season, the twelfth edition of a project that, for over a decade, has brought music to the central hub of the University’s cultural life.

For this first concert of the new season, the music programme unites beloved masterpieces of the vocal repertoire, tracing a natural progression from opera and lied, to musical theatre tunes. Rossini, Puccini, Mozart, Tchaikovsky and Bellini, alongside Gershwin, Loewe, Tosti, De Curtis, Bixio and Gheorghe Dima will create the soundscape of an evening vibrant with the expressiveness and diversity of the vocal interpretative potential.

The acclaimed performers Renata Vari (soprano), Liviu Iftene (tenor) and Róbert Erdős (baritone), in Botond Szőcs’ piano accompaniment, will take again the stage of Aula Magna, in “Sergiu T. Chiriacescu” Conference Centre. The solo arias and songs will alternate with duets from Don Giovanni, The Barber of Seville and La Bohème, in a programme open to virtuosity and lyricism, but also to the joy of musical dialogue.

The event will take place on Friday, 2 October 2026, starting at 6:00 p.m., in “Sergiu T. Chiriacescu” Conference Centre, Transilvania University of Brașov.

The entrance is free within the limit of available places.
