On 25 September 2026, the Research and Development Institute within Transilvania University of Brașov opens its gates for a new edition of the Researchers’ Night. This year’s programme brings the public closer to the activity of our University’s research centres, through experiments, demonstrations, workshops and state-of-the-art technologies, now on display and open for testing. From artificial intelligence, robotics and virtual reality, to medicine, advanced materials, renewable energy, agriculture, food, mathematics, economics and engineering, the R&D Institute’s research activities will become more accessible and attractive for the visitors of all ages.

This venture features career guidance workshops in virtual reality, demos with agricultural drones and mechatronic systems, experiments with smart alloys and polymers, material testing through microscopy, thermography and ultrasonics, as well as activities dedicated to renewable energy and recycling.

The event will be attended by both educational and economic partners, who propose activities in robotics and programming, virtual reality, astronomy, microscopy, entrepreneurship, as well as physics and technology experiments, but also hands-on demonstrations.

A spectacular example of how research and passion for technology turns into performance is BlueStreamline, the car-racing team of Transilvania University of Brașov. Its member students design and build their own single-seaters for the international Formula Student competitions, thus combining engineering, design, programming and teamwork. A few of the cars built by the UNITBV students will be available to watch and admire during the event.
