JUNK – Exhibition by Florin Buta
2 October 2026, at 6:00 p.m., Multicultural Centre, Transilvania University of Brașov
The Multicultural Centre of Transilvania University invites the academic community, as well as the wider public of Brașov to the opening of JUNK, the most recent exhibition signed by Florin Buta, an event that will take place on Friday, 2 October, starting at 6:00 p.m.
Florin Buta is a milestone visual artist for our city, whose technique and expertise emerge at the confluence of painting, object and mixed media installation. Originally from Brașov, the artist attended the bachelor’s courses at the National University of Arts, in Bucharest, then the master’s ones at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts (KASK) in Ghent (Belgium).
He has had many personal and group exhibitions in both Belgium and Romania. In 2017 he joined the residency organised at Destelheide Art Centre of Dworp, Belgium, within the programme “Artist-in-the-House”, alongside a group of Romanian visual creators. In Romania, his projects include the exhibition “Scale of Things”, which was offered for viewing by the Multicultural Centre of Transilvania University of Brașov, in April 2019.
We will be therefore waiting for you at the same venue (Rectorate building, ground floor, 29 Eroilor Blvd.) to participate in the opening that will take place on Friday, 2 October 2026, starting at 6:00 p.m., as well as to visit the exhibition which will be open to the public until 30 October, from Monday to Friday, between 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
