Awarding for the Valedictorians of Transilvania University of Brașov

21 June 2023

The valedictorians of the 18 faculties within Transilvania University of Brașov were awarded this year as well by the UNITBV management. Within a festive event organized at “Sergiu T. Chiriacescu” Conference Centre, the 20 graduates who obtained the highest average grades within their faculties were congratulated by the Rector of the University, the Vice-Rector for the Students, and the Faculty Deans.

Apart from the prestige of being the best students, the graduates also received a small token of appreciation from the University - the sum of one thousand RON and some gifts to remind them of their student life. In addition, those who choose to continue their master’s degree studies at Transilvania University of Brașov will also benefit from a study visit to a university abroad.

This year, Transilvania University of Brașov had 20 valedictorians: two students succeeded in completing the bachelor’s degree study cycle with an average grade of 10; and 18 students graduated with average grades above 9. At the same time, in addition to the two graduates from the Faculty of Music who completed the bachelor’s degree study cycle with 10, another two graduates from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science completed their four-year academic studies with equal average grades.

The 20 valedictorians of the 2023 class are:

Along with the awarding of the 20 valedictorians, Transilvania Excellence Scholarship was granted to Mihai Florian Miu, a fourth-year student at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. This scholarship is granted every year by UNITBV to a single student who, throughout the academic year, has participated in national or international competitions, has been involved in academic activities or projects, or has published articles in prestigious journals. The scholarship is worth 3,000 RON.

The Gala of Valedictorians is an event that has already become a tradition for Transilvania University of Brașov. Annually, the students who obtain the highest average grade at the end of the 3, 4 or 6 study years are awarded by the management of Transilvania University of Brașov.
