UNITBV scales ever-greater heights in the hierarchy of Romanian universities within QS World University Rankings 2025

11 July 2024

Transilvania University of Brașov climbs three positions in the ranking of Romanian universities featured within QS World University Rankings 2025, as against the previous edition of this prestigious academic top. At the same time, Transilvania University of Brașov enters the group of the best 500 European universities included therein. Alongside UNITBV, other 12 Romanian universities are featured within QS World University Rankings 2025.

The indicators taken into account in establishing the top were: academic reputation, reputation among employers, student/faculty ratio, the number of citations for the scientific articles, the ability to attract foreign students, the number of academic teaching personnel from abroad.

The top also scores the following three indicators: sustainability, the degree of employment after completing the studies and the degree of involvement in international research networks.

Overall, 1500 universities around the world have been included in QS World University Rankings 2025. The first positions are held by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA), Imperial College London (United Kingdom) and University of Oxford (United Kingdom).
