The Researchers’ Night 2024

27 September 2024, 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m., Research and Development Institute

On Friday, 27 September 2024, between 4:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., on the premises of the Research and Development Institute within Transilvania University of Brașov (10 Institutului St.) you are welcome at the Researchers’ Night, an event that aims to bring science and technology closer to the community.

Our University’s students, researchers and partners invite you to games, competitions and presentations of their research activity. The Institute’s laboratories will be open for everyone interested to learn how various types of equipment are used in research activities; and the visitors will have the opportunity to see mobile robots, 3D printers, drones and other research equipment. At the same time, the event is a chance to interact with experts in various fields and to better understand the impact of research on everyday life.

Overall, approximately 50 stands will be set up, most of them by the centres of the Research and Development Institute within Transilvania University of Brașov, complete with the stands of the economic partners and associations, as well as of the NGOs and colleges in the city of Brașov. All of them will prove, through original applications, that science and research are basic pillars in the development of society.

As every year, “Țara Bârsei” Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, Brașov County Police Inspectorate and “Nicolae Titulescu” Gendarmerie Inspectorate of Brașov County will display their intervention technique and equipment. Moreover, the visitors might want to test and revel in the flight simulator of “Henri Coandă” Air Force Academy.

The mini-exhibition of rare life-size animals will be open to the participants; and the single-seat race cars built by the students of Transilvania University of Brașov, with which they won several high-profile competitions in Europe this year, will be available to view.

To facilitate access to the event, the RATBv buses for the route 24 - Livada Poște bus stop - R&D Institute (Campus Genius bus stop) will run at an increased frequency during the entire event.

The entrance is free of charge.

Further information about the event is available at: https://icdt.unitbv.ro/ro/noaptea-cercetatorilor/program
