Survey on the local residents’ expectations towards Brașov - Ghimbav International Airport

The Faculty of Sociology and Communication within Transilvania University of Brașov has launched today, 4 April 2025, an extensive sociological research on the local residents’ expectations and perceptions as regards Brașov-Ghimbav International Airport. The questionnaire includes several questions to which everyone who has travelled or intends to travel by plane is invited to answer. The study will provide information on the passenger consumption behaviour, the frequency and types of flights, the travel intentions, the preferences for domestic or foreign destinations and the ticket purchase method.
This initiative reflects the strategy of Transilvania University of Brașov that pursues its involvement in the community life and the generation of relevant data for the development of the region. The research results may be used by Brașov-Ghimbav International Airport in the process of negotiation with the airline companies, with a view to developing new routes and to adapting the offer to real public demand.
