Raster Retina: Exhibition by Bartha Árpád

10 September 2025, at 7:00 p.m., Multicultural Centre, Transilvania University of Brașov

The Multicultural Centre of Transilvania University invites the academic community, as well as the general public of Brașov to the opening of Raster Retina, the exhibition signed by Bartha Árpád.

Born in the city of Brașov, in 1953, and a distinguished representative of the graphics school of Cluj, as a graduate of “Ioan Andreescu” Academy of Visual Arts, Bartha Árpád has made a name for himself in the contemporary cultural environment mainly by authoring a creation acclaimed for “its load of meaning, stylistic accuracy and quality of the proposed experiments, but also mastery in the valorization of the technical arsenal”, according to Iulia Mesea. Moreover, he prevailed as a professor and Director of Braşov Art Museum which he led between 2006 and 2018.

Bartha Árpád’s artistic activity includes numerous personal and group exhibitions, both in Romania and abroad. For the exhibition hosted by the Multicultural Centre, which features recent artworks of graphics and photography, the artist has resorted to recognisable patterns, such as delicate embroidery motifs or sinusoidal lines, translating a sublimated and disciplined perception of the surrounding world.

We will be therefore waiting for you at the Multicultural Centre (ground floor of UNITBV’s Rectorate building, 29 Eroilor Blvd.) to participate in the opening scheduled to take place on Wednesday, 10 September 2025, starting at 7:00 p.m., as well as to visit the exhibition which will be open to the public until 1 October 2025, from Monday to Friday, between 2:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
